We are a local chapter (LC) of the USLMRA (United States Lawn Mower Racing Association).  As an LC, we travel across Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.  Our races are on dirt and grass surfaces that can usually fit inside something the size of a football field.  Although we build for speed, SAFETY is our ultimate goal.  We race only for trophies and bragging rights, there are no cash prizes.

*Get ready for the heart stopping actoin of the CPR class...............
The CPR class, for the time is a PALMRA only class, and was started in 2009 with the intent of keeping money out of the motors. To win in this class you will have to learn how to properly "set up" your mower, gear your mower, and most importantly drive your mower. Money will not buy first place trophies in this class. Unlike the IMOW class, CPR mowers have no tire size or pressure rule, they have no drive line restrictions (however, no veri drive pulleys are allowed). This class is designed to replicate how lawn mower racing started out, before high profile cams, aluminum flywheels and balanced crankshafts. Engines will be goverened at 3650 RPM, if a mower is found illegal, the drivers points will be taken away, and that mower will be classed as a CP mower for the remainder of the season. Follow the CP class mower rules to build your frame. We will allow single cylinder OHV motors, opposed flat head twin cylinder motors, and single cylinder flat head motors. All motors must have a factory rating of 20hp or less. The CPR rule book is now available to download in our "build book" section.

What to expect on race day.....(This is how a typical PALMRA event is conducted.)
1. When you arrive at the track, the first thing to do is find the registration table. Here you will get a wrist band, and a TECH sheet for each class you have entered. Also you will pull a number for your starting position.
2. Unload your mower(s) and procede to the tech inspection area.
3. Assist in track set up if any help is needed.
4. Attend the drivers meeting. All drivers must attend this meeting, if you fail to attend, you will be disqualified from the days events. If necessary a Rookies meeting will also be held.
5. Hot Laps (practice laps) by class, in the order left to right on the line up board, if needed we will have a seperate Rookie practice.
6. Opening ceromonies (National Anthem, introduction, sponsor recognition, and so on).
7. Heat races. Heat race lineups will be posted on the line up board, our classes run in the order of the board from left to right. PLEASE prestage your mower, and be ready to enter the track when the class before you is off. Pull onto the front strecth where the scorer will make any necessary adjustments to the line up. The flagman will give the parade lap instructions.
8. STOCK classes will run features only.
9. ITS FEATURE TIME! Features will be ran in the same order as the heat races. Please follow the same staging pattern that you did in the heat race. Line ups will be posted on the board. For most classes PALMRA will invert the finishing order of the heat race.
10. Trophy presentation. The top three finishers in each class will recieve a trophy for their accomplishment for the day.
